Quality and Environmental Policy
Our primary aim is to obtain the satisfaction of our stakeholders – customers, colleagues and owners. With our supplied and built-in produts we would like to create harmony in the interior design and built-in environment and to contribute to the wellbeing of the people living and working in their
surroundings. Balaton Bútor Ltd. recognizes and feels its responsibility for the state of the environment and sets as major objective to contribute to the decreasing of global environmental problems and to improve the state of the environment.
Our main goals are the following
The quality of our services and products must meet the determined and expressed and also the not determined but expectable needs of our clients. We carry out our activities taking into account the environmental aspects, in full compliance with the environmental regulations. We look for pollution prevention and rational management of natural resources. We continuously check and improve the environmental effects of our technology.
WE AVOID SOURCING
Illegally harvested wood, wood harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights, wood harvested in forests in which high conservation values are threatened by management activities, wood harvested in forests being converted from natural and semi natural forest to plantations or non- forest use, wood from forests in which genetically modified trees are planted.
In order to reach these goals our company takes the following actions
We run Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System, FSC® FL and FSC® Chain of Custody Documented Control System, which promotes the right work, ensures regular checks of our activity, sourcing of raw materials, production of goods and providing of services meeting the expectations of our clients. We intend to increase further the confidence of existing and prospective customers in the brand name “Balaton Bútor”.
We monitor laws, legislative changes relating to our organization's activities, and we fully apply and respect the defined rules.
We make operational and strategic decisions taking into account environmental concerns. We continuously determine quality and environmental goals broken down for all involved areas of the company. We regularly check and measure the fulfilment of the objectives. The company provides resources, suitable working environment and trainings for employees allowing to achieve these goals.
We pay attention to the emission of harmful substances trying to decrease it. We are working on reducing waste formation We handle with priority the appropriate storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
We pay attention to energy saving in the offices and workshops, to environmentally conscious selecting of equipments, materials, office and cleaning supplies and to creating appropriate health and ergonomic conditions for
demanding working environment.
We organize regular trainings for employees about the directives and tasks related to the implementation of our environmental policy, and the functioning of the environmental management system. We continuously modernize our technologies considering environmental aspects. We operate in compliance with the legislation in force.
Accordigly
We expect adequate behavior from our suppliers too. We give priority to suppliers with quality and environmental management system or products and services of corresponding quality.
We are in contact only with waste disposal companies possessing the appropriate environmental permits.
We work in close cooperation with the authorities.
As the Managing Director of Balaton Bútor Ltd., and also on behalf of the management of the company I am committed in the future of the company, in the implementation of the objectives of our quality policy and in operating the company in an integrated quality and environmental management system in order to enable our products and services to meet our clients’ needs in every aspect.
The management of Balaton Bútor Ltd. guarantees that all
employees of the company understand, adopt and support the quality and environmental policy.
The management assumes an exemplary initiating role in the maintenance of the quality and environmental management system.
We make sure that all employees assume responsibility for quality, know the requirements concerning our quality and environmental management system, and quality improvement is everyone’s daily task.
